Ponosh Vascular was established by Mr Stefan Ponosh in 2016. After many years as a specialist Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon in the public and private sectors, Stefan decided to focus on providing Perth’s premier private vascular practice dedicated to delivering the very best patient experience and outcomes.
The client was very hands-on and enthusiastic about the design process. He had a strong vision with a distinctive style. Every element within the space needed to reflect his taste, which had a Mid-Century Modern design influence.
Typically, Mid-Century Modern relates to a style of furniture, timber elements, modern prints and textured carpet flooring. Elements of Biophilic materials and textures are used within the reception area and throughout the medical suite. The linear timber battens draw your eye to the entry’s main focal point, the stone reception counter, clad in narrow timber battens. The classic feature lighting to the side of the reception counter also help to frame the area.
The client wanted a variety of seating in the space and the custom modular element is a lovely addition to the space. The waiting area was limited so the modular seating was an effective use of space. The planting in the centre of the seating is a lovely additional Biophilic element.
Stefan fell in love with the flooring and decided to carry it through to into his consulting room. It was a perfect addition to his custom-made Mid-Century designed desk. The textured carpet was framed with timber vinyl flooring, creating a ‘rug’ like aesthetic. Along with the navy wall colour and walnut timber features the elements together create the perfect executive suite.
The Mid-Century elements were carried through to the back of house areas through highlights on furniture, grouting colours, tiling and cabinetry selections to name a few.
Ponosh Vascular’s new space is open, welcoming and inviting whilst being consistent with a classic design style. Stefan and his office support staff are thrilled with the outcome. They love the final design and have loved being part of the design process.
