interior + workplace design

SPH are architects and interior designers with a dedicated interior design team that has built a reputation for successful delivery of complex fitout projects.

SPH have vast experience delivering complex government projects involving multiple key stakeholders having successfully, demonstrated this through the successful delivery of projects such as the Crime and Corruption Commission office fitout relocation, Western Power’s office fitout and Control Room relocation, Microsoft’s Corporate Office Fitout, and the Pilbara EICS North Regional Tafe project. Each of these example projects were delivered on time and under budget.

Whether working on large scale corporate or commercial fitouts, smaller interior refurbishments or a new build aged care facility, the SPH team understands the processes and demands of the various types of projects. Our interiors design process begins with an accommodation audit, and briefing procedure, to ensure we fully understand what is required of an internal space, working with our client to instill their company ethos and brand into the design. High quality design should deliver long term flexibility, have multi-purpose use, and be aesthetically inspired.

SPH’s interior design team is fully experienced in the design of interiors for both aged care facilities and high-end retirement living. In addition they can provide a full FF&E service which not only takes account of appropriate materials and finishes selections but also compliments both the architectural and base building design.

The SPH interior design team is led by Director David Hall. David is a commercial Interior Designer with over 35 years’ experience, and has worked extensively with businesses and corporations to design effective, functionally agile and inspirational spaces.

Cherie Kaptein has been superintendent representative on a number of large government projects. She is a Registered Architect, Interior Designer, and Registered Nurse. With her broad scope of expertise Cherie brings a clinical eye and a vast degree of understanding to the team when engaged in aged care or health sector related projects.

Senior Interior Designer, Tika Santoso, has over 15 years experience in interior fitout across a diverse range of sectors including aged care and retirement living, healthcare, retail and hospitality, and corporate office fitout. Tika is backed up by Interior Designers Clare Emerson and Georgia Hunt.

Together the teams focus is to create uplifting and tranquil environments that encapsulate the essence and vision of the company or organisation, and promotes wellbeing amongst all end user groups.

Ultimately, the SPH interior design team strive to ensure balance is achieved between functional and aesthetic requirements as well as our clients’ requirements for sustainability and fiscal durability.

With a commitment to constant research, we ensure we remain current and fully informed in our specialist sectors.  SPH architecture + interiors pride ourselves on our ability to create different spaces that encompass both our end user’s needs and surpass our clients’ expectations.
