SPH was engaged by Amana Living to assist them with the ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP) process with the City of South Perth.  As part pf the process SPH provided the following services:

• A staged masterplan for the redevelopment of the existing 8.34ha retirement living site. This included 800+ apartments, community centre, 120 bed aged care facility, allied health medical centre, small supermarket, café and extensive community gardens.
• Prepare existing facilities and site infrastructure due diligence report.
• Application of a staged retirement living memorial over the existing site to allow for future staged development

The master plan was designed to allow Amana Living to provide an integrated care community to enable elders to lead a fulfilling life as they progress through their aging journey.  

Following the City’s strict height limits the master plan undulates following the contours of the site. In doing so the low scale development focuses on proving open green space between buildings to ensure continued connection to community.

SPH’s services assisted Amana Living, becoming the preferred proponent and receiving City Officer support for the $21.8m land transition.  

SPH will continue to provide architectural services to Amana Living for Stage 1 of the redevelopment once the increased zoning is finalized by the City of South Perth and the staged memorials are in place. The site is divided into 12+ stages and stage 1 will include approximately 80 apartments, allied health and commercial facilities.
