Overview

Kearns Central is a 7 floor mixed-use development within the established Applecross / Ardross Riseley Street precinct. The site is 1,450m² and has access from three sides, allowing the design to provide dynamic ground floor retail and restaurant spaces that adress the street while hiding parking and services off the rear laneway. Parking is critical in tight development precincts and we established a mezzanine level of parking that greatly improved development potential and salability.

The building is highly energy efficient, with energy recycling, water recycling, solar and a rooftop garden providing usable solar insulation. Five levels of apartments of varying types, the roof also provides a commercial opportunity for small bar or studio-style commercial with city views.

Overall the project was given unanimous support from Perth Design Advisory Panel and achieved a DA approval for greater development on the site than is outlined within the scheme.
