Overview

SPH were commissioned by the City of Perth to design, document and administer the construction contract for their three storey 43 apartment, key worker housing complex in Goderich Street, East Perth.In addition to the apartment building SPH were also to include the design, documentation and contract administration of a CoP three storey public carpark located at the rear of the site. The project was completed in July 2013 and was registered to achieve 4 Star Green Star Rating.

SPH won the City of Perth’s open design tender for full architectural services for their 42 unit key worker housing project in Goderich Street, East Perth.

The brief called for a design that delivered longevity, durability and low levels of maintenance whilst contributing positively to the streetscape and providing a desirable living environment.

Materials selected were brick, zinc and stainless steel with painted rendered finishes being used at low level to provide an economic response to graffiti
