SPH Architecture + Interiors are proud to announce the Geegeelup Aged Care Facility Redevelopment project has commenced onsite with BGC Construction.Geegeelup Aged Care Facility sits on the side of a sloping hill in the picturesque south-west community of Bridgetown. The redevelopment will accommodate 32 residential aged care beds and accompanying communal and operational facilities.

A new commercial kitchen and laundry are included in the scope of work, along with a purpose-built salon, podiatry and activity room. Each bedroom includes a private ensuite and is designed to cater for the varying needs of the residents. The facility features generous, light filled living and dining spaces with stone hearths, high raking ceilings and exposed steel beams. The skillion roof, pergolas and large verandas give a nod to the country aesthetic of the local surroundings and take advantage of the north facing valley views and rolling hillside. The new development will assist with the ever-growing need for Aged Care in Bridgetown and surrounding rural catchment areas. Together with our client Geegeelup Village Inc and with the assistance of Commonwealth Government funding the project is positioned to become a leading example of Aged Care Architecture and Dementia Specific Design in Western Australia.
