AME Offshore Solutions engaged SPH to undertake this project – comprising alterations, additions and fitout of an existing warehouse – in West Leederville, Perth.

The company provides equipment and services for mobile offshore drilling units and their brief called for an open plan, energetic and vibrant workplace, that would encourage collaboration among its team of 37 engineers.

SPH undertook a series of alterations and additions to the base building to reconfigure the space and improve functionality. These included structural and mechanical changes, the insertion of two new staircases, the conversion of an outdoor atrium space into an internal weather-proof courtyard, and landscaping works to the face of the building.

The office fitout includes sit-to-stand workstations, bespoke task pendant lighting, private breakout rooms, and end-of-trip and bike storage facilities.

Social facilities are provided in a Central Hub which includes tea prep, a staff café, a collaboration and print centre, and – somewhat unusually! – a whisky bar and BBQ, to encourage community and culture.  

On the first floor, the main boardroom and meeting room are both equipped with wireless AV teleconferencing systems, and a stylish lobby for casual client interactions.
